A mature and thunderous actor who vacillates between classical and contemporary playwrights while also having the dexterity as a singer of genres ranging from classical oratorio to contemporary jazz, Calvin M. Thompson can do it all. He is native of South Carolina where his beginnings in the arts started in literature. All of these seeds, along with his foundation of his Faith, were instrumental in forging Thompson heralding towards his calling.

 

Mr. Thompson is a graduate of University of South Carolina-Aiken and furthered his education with conservatory work at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. He has appeared numerous times on Off-Broadway and Regional stages as well Film and Television, yet no matter the venue he demonstrates fervor and a fiery passion for every project that he can pour his heart into.​

 

Mr. Thompson's mission is to continue shining spreading his gifts not only onstage, but throughout his work with youth, elders and community. He has expanded his outreach with various groups throughout the nation such as Concerts In Motion, Rutgers Music Program, collegiate and high school programs, and community based programs that serve the collective. This is his movement, a continuation of spreading Love and Light throughout the entire world.
